Deuces Wild by RTG

Have you ever wanted Wilds to exist in video poker? To have a card that can substitute for others to help create winning combinations? If so, Deuces Wild should definitely be on your list! This RTG game assigns the number two to serve as a Wild anytime it appears. This results in other changes to keep things balanced.

As with previous video poker releases, Deuces Wild is played entirely single player using a random number generator. This means players do not have to worry about any timers rushing their decision-making. We like the card animations, but we do wish RTG added a way to speed them up.

Your first priority when starting this game is to set up your total bet. This is done by changing your coin bet and the number of coins being played. Make sure to set it up to suit your budget or you will quickly run out of funds. Once you are satisfied with your bet, press or tap the Deal button.

This will cause five cards to be dealt to the player. The goal is to form the best possible poker hand with the cards you are dealt. To that end, you are able to hold any number of cards that you want without any extra cost. If you get a particularly strong hand immediately, you can even hold all five cards! The number two serves as a Wild, and can substitute for any other card in forming winning combinations.

Having picked what cards you want to keep, the remaining will be reshuffled. Once you have your final five, the release will check your hand. If you managed to create a valid poker hand from the paytable, you will receive a cash prize. The better the hand, the stronger the prize!

Keep in mind that the strength of your hand is just one part of the payout. The second is how many active coins you currently have. The higher the coin count, the bigger the prizes! One thing worth noting is that Deuces Wild’s minimum prize is three-of-a-kind. Jacks or Better and Two Pairs have been removed, as the Wild would make them too easy to win.

As a result, the weakest win you can score in Deuces Wild is a three-of-a-kind with just one coin active. Meanwhile, a Royal Flush with all five coins active will result in a 4000 coin reward!

After each win, you will be prompted to try the Double or Nothing bonus. A new set of five cards are drawn, of which only one is visible. You can pick one face down card, which will keep a random card from your previous win. The cards are then revealed. If you win, your win is doubled!
