Evolution Peek Baccarat Live is the first baccarat game to mix standard Commission Baccarat gameplay with the Peek feature. For a 20% fee, players can ‘peek’ at the cards while they are being dealt – and change the wager by doubling or tripling it as the round progresses.

The game is being prepped for ICE London 2022, so there’s no solid information about the game just yet. However, we know the live baccarat table will feature an RTP that’s close to 98.80%. Here’s an example of one Evolution Peek Baccarat game round.

1. Place a wager on either the Banker or the Player bet. The hand closest to 9 wins the round. You may also choose Tie if you think the round will be a draw. Peek Baccarat betting phase lasts 14 seconds.
2. The game also offers two side bets: Player Pair and Banker Pair. Both side bets pay 11:1,but participants cannot wager on them if they haven’t placed a main bet.
3. Once the betting phase ends, card dealing will commence.
4. Evolution charges a 20% fee if you wish to peek at the cards during dealing. You can see between one and four cards during the dealing phase. The host first turns Player cards, and then one Banker card.
5. Use what you’ve seen during the sneak peek to adjust the bet. You can only increase the wager originally placed during the betting phase – either double or triple the wearing amount.
6. When the dealer finishes dealing, the result of the round will be automatically displayed on the screen. If you have won (and you’ve increased the wager), you will receive the corresponding payout.

The Peek variant follows the standard baccarat rules. In other words, the dealer draws cards to see which hand will be closer to 9, and 2-9 cards retain their pip value. Face cards are worth 0.

The Evolution Peek Baccarat betting limits start at €1 and go up to €10,000 per round. It remains unclear whether that includes the Double and Triple bet increase during Peeking, so make sure to check back with our Peek Baccarat review soon.

Peek Baccarat is a mixture of standard and Squeeze Baccarat. The standard elements are reflected in the game’s betting and paytable rules, as well as the commission that accompanies the betting hands. However, the more contemporary additions of the Peek feature and 20% commission fee show us that the game is indeed built for punters who are there to play and win.

The total Peek Baccarat game payout rate is 8:1 for the Tie hand, while the Banker and Player pay 1:1. The Player Pair and Banker Pair side bets pay 11:1.

Peek Baccarat has one unique feature: the Peek functionality.

Peeking at the cards is usually reserved for Squeeze Baccarat variants.  However, the Squeeze functionality serves only one purpose: anticipation. You cannot use it for the greater good, unlike Peeks in this variant. In this case, the peek can produce a bigger payout. How so? Well, the punters are allowed to see a glimpse of one or more cards (up to four cards) during dealing, which gives them an immense advantage over the casino. By seeing what the cards could potentially be, the player gains an upper hand in determining the round outcome. Moreover, while previous baccarat versions only allowed a glimpse without consequences, Peek Baccarat players can change their wagers mid-round.

In short, those that play Peek Baccarat live for real money can see which cards are being dealt and change their wager by increasing it by 2x or 3x of the current stake. Of course, such a privilege does not come free. The peeking comes with a 20% fee that applies both to Player and Banker bets.

Along with the peek feature, the game will closely resemble a standard Commission baccarat variant. There are three main betting options (Player, Banker, and Tie). There are also two side bets, the Player Pair and Banker Pair. They pay out if the first two dealt cards for the hand in question is a pair matching in rank. Both side bets pay 11:1 when they hit.
