Evolution’s Gonzo’s Treasure Map is essentially a simplified version of their previous release Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt. Players will join the character of Gonzo and the live dealer as they interact with each other and guide you to secret treasures. Gameplay is based around the treasure map on the screen split into 70 betting segments. The goal is to guess which segment will contain a prize or even a bonus game.

You can bet anywhere from €0.20 to €5,000 on multiple segments and win up to €500,000. The RTP value of the game is 95.26% with highly volatile gameplay. The visuals are extravagant in Evolution’s Gonzo’s Treasure Map gameshow with ancient temple exploration themes. Gonzo himself is present alongside the dealer to interact and converse with the audience. As for gameplay, the rules are simple. The treasure map in the center of the screen serves as a betting board.

There are 10 rows and 7 columns for a total of 70 spots you can bet on. You have 14 seconds to do so and the goal is to guess which spot the prize will land on. Note that you can place multiple bets. After betting, five treasure blocks will randomly drop on unique columns. Only one block can appear on any given column but on random rows. If it lands on a segment you placed a bet on you win a prize depending on the block type.

Gold blocks pay 10x while multiplier blocks pay 20x the bet. Therefore, an effective strategy is to bet on multiple columns or on multiple rows of a single column. Mix up these strategies and see what works best for you.

Essentially, you can bet up to 70 times since there are 70 segments on the treasure map to place bets. The total wagering range can be anywhere from €0.20 to €5,000. This will give you a chance to win up to €500,000 with high volatility.

Payouts vary based on which type of block you score and whether you trigger the bonus game. In the base game, you can win either 10x for the gold or 20x for the multiplier block. But the bonus round rewards are much higher and are the main way to get that maximum win.

As for the overall RTP of Gonzo’s Treasure Map, it is a below-average value of 95.26%. To be honest, this is quite a suboptimal value that we do not expect from Evolution releases. Not only is it below the average for online slots but even for live casino games as well.

There is only one extra feature of Gonzo’s Treasure Map gameshow and that is the bonus game. Besides treasure blocks in the base game, 3 keyhole blocks also drop at the beginning of the round. If the keyhole lands on a segment you placed your bet on and you win, you advance to the bonus round along with any other players. In case the winning position was a multiplier block, all payouts in the bonus game are doubled.

In the Treasure Map bonus game, Gonzo will present a new board of 70 stone tablets. Each one will be outfitted with a random multiplier value from x25 to x500. Lower values are more frequent. There will also be a few double-up tiles used to boost other segments.

Then, a ruby block will drop on a random tile from the top. If it lands on one of the multipliers all players have their win multiplied by the stone block’s value. On the other hand, if the ruby lands on a double-up segment, all other multipliers are doubled and the ruby drops again. This will then continue until the ruby hits a regular multiplier.

Players can win up to €500,000 in the bonus round.
