
Mr Green & Co, the parent company of the gambling giant Mr Green described 2017 as its most successful year since the foundation of the company back in 2007.
The Swedish based group reported its fifth consecutive quarter of growth, with the biggest achievement in 2017 being the breaking of the SEK 1 billion mark for a total revenue of SEK 1.1 billion (€110.8 million). That's an increase of nearly 20% when compared to 2016 figures.
A Strong Performance
Full-year EBITDA was €18.5 million, a staggering 103% rise over the corresponding 2016's €9 million. 2017 was marked with several important moves, including the launch of the company's Green Gaming predictive tool and thrilling and unique casino tournament product Reel Thrill.
During 2017, the gambling group expanded its operations beyond the Nordic region, with a double-digit growth recorded in all new European markets.
Mr Green ended the year with the acquisition of the Bonnier Group-owned Maltese company Evoke Gaming, worth €7 million. The move has definitely been worthwhile, since it allowed Mr Green to further expand its offer with Vinnarum casino, Bertolt, MammaMia and Redbet sportsbook.
The new year has also begun strongly especially in Denmark where the new casino site was launched on December 28.
More Things To Come In 2018
Commenting on the firm's excellent results in 2017, the group's Chief Executive Officer Per Norman stated 2017 had been Mr Green's most successful year ever. He said that in accordance with Mr Green 2.0 strategy, its product offering was better than ever, along with an important geographical expansion.
Norman reminded that Mr Green had implemented a unique, industry-leading tool for Green Gaming during 2017, describing it as a positive one for the company.
According to Norman, the company has big plans for this year as well. He said that during 2018, Mr Green would focus on geographic expansion and Evoke Gaming integration, and at the same time would continue to develop its offering and enhance the efficiency of customer communication.
He expressed his belief 2018 would be another exciting year in the company’s history, especially since Mr Green celebrated its tenth anniversary.
