Online gaming companies have a long tradition of sponsoring sports events, especially football teams. One in particular has a tradition of being involved with some of the biggest names in the game and that is bwin.party who have today announced a deal with Belgium's most successful ever football club Anderlecht.
Bwin.party Digital Entertainment have announced a three year sponsorship deal to become Anderlecht's official online gaming and betting partner. The deal will see Anderlecht's stadium be branded with bwin.party's corporate logos and there will be numerous other promotional activities taking place over the course of the next three years.
Roger Vanden Stock is the President of Anderlecht and he had this to say about his clubs new deal with the gaming giant that is bwin.party. He said, “Bwin.party is more than a partner, the partnership is innovative. So, for instance, we will collaborate to feed the digital platform of Anderlecht with specific bwin.party programmes, which will be enjoyed by our loyal fans.”
Bwin.party already have similar deals in place with four of the biggest clubs in European football, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and current European Champions Bayern Munich, and they also hope to announce another club to the list before the football season starts next month.
Anderlecht are the most successful club in the history of Belgian football having won 32 League titles, 11 Belgian Supercups and nine Belgian Cups, and with bwin.party now on board they could well strengthen their position even further as Belgium's leading football club over the course of the next three years.
