Betfair is making their services a lot more accessible through the launch of their new native Android app. They were trying to improve the experience of every user who uses Android mobile devices. The new Android v2.0 app is patterned after the interface used on the new iPhone and iPad apps. It now has an improved and responsive look as well as feel. The new version also features a larger home screen, the “Cash Out” tool, price graphs and added market view features.
Raj Vemulapalli, Vice President of Betfair’s Mobile Department, has said that this was another exciting event of Betfair that highlighted on the benefits of their Silicon Valley Development Center. This department had worked hard on building the product, which successfully ended as an engaging and fulfilling project that reflected the needs of the customers and the mobile gambling business.
It was the popularity of the Android platform that made them improve the app. The new app is set to provide a big numbers of existing customers and potential customers as well.
Vemulapalli also added that the app will be building from their performance in the mobile department. To date they have already recorded $22.7 million in revenues of FY12 and a 122pc increase in the number of bets placed. The company has previously realized the benefits of their iPhone and iPad applications and took this as a reason to improve their Android offering. Their iPhone and iPad applications have previously won awards like the Sunday Times Top 500 Apps and a “Best of British Apps recognition.”
