This years event will see be screened live on Sky Sports and it will be staged over the weekend of 19-20 October at The Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth, with the event this year seeing a host of former World Champions taking part. Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor have been drawn against each other in the first round, as have former champions Joe Johnson and Stephen Hendry. Cliff Thorburn and Doug Mountjoy will also be taking part, as will last years winner Nigel Bond and perennial runner up and crowd favourite Jimmy White.

One of the favourites for this years title will no doubt be the crowd favourite Jimmy White and he won this event back in 2010. He said, “It's fantastic event which brings players from all around the world to compete. The event gets stronger every year. Everyone is there to enjoy it and everyone is there to win.”
This years event promises to be one of the most fiercely contested yet with any one of the 16 strong field capable of taking home the title, and thanks to 888casino.com they will be all be playing for a decent pay cheque as the prize fund for this years event stands at £50,000.
