Whether it be at work or at home tablet computers are playing an important part in many peoples lives these days, with the younger generation being virtually brought up on them as many families now have at least some form of mobile tablet or android device. One company looking to capitalize on the mobile gaming boom is GTECH as they are all set to release a new poker platform for iPad tablets featuring a unique thumb based game play.
GTECH are revealing their latest technology at the G2E week in Las Vegas, technology that will be compatible with the latest Apple software iOS6 and iOS7 and it will be available from the Apple store. There will be a complete portfolio of games available besides the poker platform, including all the typical Las Vegas style casino games, lotteries, bingo and sports betting.
Matteo Monteverdi is the Senior Vice President of iGaming at GTECH and he had this to say about the new release from his company. He said, “GTECH’s new thumb-based tablet features and rebuilt Poker Platform provide tangible proof of the Company’s commitment to making all of our games available for mobile. We arguably have the widest in-house-built mobile portfolio in the gaming space, with an offering that includes casino, bingo, poker, sports betting, and lottery, with the technology to drive them all from a single player account management system.”
Mr Monteverdi went on to add, “GTECH has a content strategy and technology roadmap that will continue to fill the mobile space and ‘open up’ the content development market, building on device innovations and the Lottery Developer Network that we launched to promote development of compelling third-party content.”
Mobile gaming is constantly evolving with new software and new games being launched on the general public virtually every day it seems. As for the new poker platform it is always good to see new and improved facilities available and it will be interesting to see how well it is received at the G2E week in Las Vegas.
