English Themed Gaming Resort Set For Nevada
While online gambling revenues are down for the second month running in New Jersey, rival state Nevada seems to be going from strength to strength, and the gaming capital of the world are now planning to introduce a little bit of England with a £500 million English themed casino.
A recent survey in Nevada stated that nearly half a million visitors, 450,000 to be exact, are expected to descend upon Sin City this year alone, and what better way to entertain them then offer them some home comforts with the ‘Ye Olde England Casino’. Work on the new casino is expected to start later this year and it will offer good old fashioned English food like fish and chips, steak and kidney pudding and the East end favourite of pie and mash.
Sandy Martinez is a Council Official in Las Vegas and he had this to say regarding the new casino. He said, “It’s been a while coming, but so many of our visitors are from the UK this can only be a good opportunity. Everyone loves your Royal Family and the polite nature of the people, so this is a project which is way overdue. Many other nationalities are already represented here.”
Ye Olde England Casino will also feature items like Red Telephone Boxes and Black Taxi Cabs, and it is sure to be a hit with the tourists, as well as the locals who descend upon the gambling hotspot. One local said, “This will be a fabulous addition when it all comes together.”
The Venetian and The Paris are just two examples of hotels and casinos that are popular amongst overseas visitors, and with the addition of the Ye Olde England Casino coming soon those numbers could rise even further.
