Betsson AB, an online gambling company, after setting up a partnership with OneUp Games LLC to release MyFootball Connect, has ventured into the mobile social games industry.
OneUp Games is a Florida social sports games creator and its MyFootball Connect application is a bingo-style title that allows users to play against family and friends during live soccer matches.
MyFootball Connect, which can be downloaded via Apple’s App Store is referred to as having ‘unique gameplay with a blend of skill and luck’ and comes with game room chat, leaderboards and achievementsfor a ‘fully engaged and social experience’.
The application presently features live matches from the English Premier League but this feature is to be improved in the near future to include other major soccer leagues and competitions. It will soon be available to Android and Facebook users.
Chief Executive Officer for Stockholm-based Betsson, Magnus Silfverberg said “This is an interesting new segment for our operational subsidiaries and we want to learn more about its potential,”
