The game is played in exactly the same way as Jacks or Better but it offers a special bonus payout for hands that contain four aces. Furthermore, the game is linked to a progressive jackpot that can be won at any time and it also gives players the chance to double their wins after every successful round.

It takes no time at all to get to grips with this version of Double Bonus Video Poker. First players choose how much to bet per hand by changing the coin size using the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons and then selecting how many coins to bet per hand. Each click of the ‘Bet One’ button adds another coin to the bet while clicking on ‘Bet Max’ quickly bets five coins per hand. Players then click on ‘Deal’ and the first five cards are dealt. The hands pay out in proportion to how many coins were bet on the hand. If one coin is bet then Jacks or Better and Two Pairs pay out 1 coin, Three of a Kind pays out 3 coins, a Straight pays out 4 coins, a Flush pays out 5 coins, a Full House pays out 8 coins, Four of a Kind from 5 to K pays out 50 coins, Four of a Kind from 2 to 4 pays out 80 coins, Four Aces pays out 160 coins, a Straight Flush pays out 50 coins and a Natural Royal Flush pays out 800 coins. This payout is then multiplied by the number of coins being bet so with five coins bet a Natural Royal Flush pays out 4,000 coins.

After each successful hand players have the chance to double their winnings by clicking on ‘Double’. This deals another five cards the first of which is face up. Players then need to pick from the four facedown cards to find one that is at least equal in value to the face up card. If players pick correctly then the payout is doubled and it is possible to try again. However, one incorrect pick will lose all winnings for that hand. Double Bonus Poker is also linked to a progressive jackpot and players could win this at any point while playing, even after a losing hand or while playing with the minimum bet.
