The infamous characters are back, and they are thriving on the 5-reel grid with 16,807 ways to win. But wait, that can quickly change. The maximum number of wins in the slot game is 248,832, but you’ll have to wait for Free Spins to get that number of features.

White Rabbit 2 returns to Lewis Carroll’s fictive world with a  host of interesting elements and features. First of all, the game uses expanding ways to win system on a 5-reel grid. As expected, wins form when matching symbols land on adjacent reels from left to right.

Theme & Design

White Rabbit 2 takes us back to Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with psychedelic aesthetics creating a colorful, splendorous environment filled with mushrooms, vibrant characters, and whimsical nonsense. The infamous characters from the story, Alice, White Rabbit, Red Queen, Cheshire Cat, Dodo, Mad Hatter, and the Twins, all return to reprise their roles in the game. They even play a big role in the special features.

The visuals maintain the 2017 original’s vibes with a colorful aesthetic. From what we’ve seen, there haven’t been major updates or changes int eh visuals. The style is the same.

The soundtrack complements the fantastical setting without overwhelming gameplay too. Just like you’d expect from a studio as big as Big Time Gaming.

RTP & Volatility

White Rabbit 2 offers a 96.36% RTP, which is solid. However, the game has a very high volatility score, which spells trouble for casual players if they run into a dry spell.

We didn’t see any alternative RTP configurations.

Players can place bets from $0.20 up to $20 per spin. It’s a bit of a narrow range that will probably suit casual players more than high rollers. But the game has a very high win potential and a highly volatile math model, so we aren’t exactly sure who will like the game the most (low rollers probably not as it’s high-risk).

The max win is unusual because it’s determined by Megapots jackpots rather than a fixed multiplier cap. The Mega Megapots prize ranges from 20,888x to 88,888x the bet. That’s an enormous ceiling that far exceeds the potential of the debut game.

Expanding Reels and Cupcakes

Reels expand vertically during gameplay.

In the base game, the reels can reach up to 7 rows, which gives you 16,807 ways to win.

But, during free spins, reels expand even further, up to a maximum of 12 rows (with 248,832 ways to win).

Cupcakes trigger the expansion.

Hold and Spin

If you manage to land 6 or more Coin symbols anywhere on the grid, you’ll trigger the Hold and Spin feature with 3 respins. It’s the classic Hold & Spin game, where each position on the grid may land Coins or blanks during respins. Each time at least one Coin lands, the respin counter resets back to 3.

Coins reveal one of three outcomes – Bonus Prize, Characters, and Megapots.

Bonus Prizes that carry cash values, Character symbols provide special modifiers that interact with Bonus Prizes. Megapots icons contribute toward jackpot prizes (landing 3 of the same type awards that Megapots prize).

The round ends either when you fill the entire grid with Coins or when you run out of respins.

Character Modifiers

Seven characters can appear during Hold and Spin, each activating a unique modifier.

• White Rabbit multiplies one Bonus Prize by up to 10x
• Alice doubles the value of all Bonus Prizes currently on the grid
• Red Queen collect the value of all Bonus Prizes on the grid and awards the total prize right away
• Cheshire Cat reveals a prize of up to 5x and adds it to all Bonus Prizes currently on the grid
• Dodo collects the value of all Bonus Prizes on one specific reel only
• Mad Hatter copies the value of one random Bonus Prize on the grid
• Twins award two Bonus Prizes of identical value, up to 20x each

Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols triggers 12, 16, or 20 spins, respectively. Free Spins begin with each reel carrying 5 to 7 symbols. And any time cupcake symbols land, they can potentially expand the grid with new icons.

These expanded positions are included if Hold and Spin triggers during free spins, meaning Hold and Spin can occur on massively expanded grids with far more positions than in base game. When any reel reaches the maximum 12 rows, between 3 and 12 additional free spins are granted. This reward can occur up to 5x (which means once per reel).

Megapots Jackpots

Three Megapots prizes are displayed above the reels and change values on each spin. They are available only during Hold and Spin.

• Midi: 1,000x to 8,888x the bet
• Mega: 20,888x to 88,888x the bet
