They recognized the obvious desire for single deck blackjack all the way back in 2006. And to this day, this release remains a golden standard for RNG blackjack software.

Yes, this is a single-player game. That means players don’t have to worry about waiting on other punters or the stream quality. You can go as quickly or as slowly as you like. Perfect for newbies who want to learn the ropes and experienced blackjack players who want to blaze through each round.

When you first boot the game, it prompts you to place a bet. You do so by clicking or tapping on one of the chips on the left side of the table. Using them, you can select a variety of bets. And as you’ll quickly notice, there are no side bets to play here.

Once all wagers are placed, it’s time to play. On your screen, you’ll see four cards dealt. Two are dealt to the punter, and two are kept by the virtual dealer. If the dealer has an ace or a ten, the dealer will peek at the cards to check for a blackjack. If there’s no blackjack, you can choose to hit or stand. Hitting draws

another card. If you choose to stand, it means you’re satisfied with the hand you have and are ready to proceed.

After you stand, the dealer will reveal his second card, and if needed, draw more. If the dealer has a soft 17 ( one ace + one other card ), they have to hit. If the sum of your cards is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, without going over that number, then you win!

You can bet any value between $1 and $200 on each round. A standard payout awards a 1:1 prize. When the dealer peeks at the cards, they can offer you insurance if there’s a chance they have blackjack. Winning insurance is a 2:1 prize. Finally, getting blackjack pays 3:2, the best possible win in the game!

Since you only have a single deck, splitting and doubling are more limited compared to standard blackjack releases. Double is only available on hard 9, 10 and 11, and you can’t double after splitting. Splits can only be done once. Splitting an ace and ten counts as 21, but not a blackjack.

Microgaming’s Vegas Single Deck Blackjack doesn’t have any side bets. That said, it does offer an insurance bet you can use! Insurance is offered when the dealer’s first hand is an ace.
