A royal burgundy table will be the first thing that greets players when they first launch Microgaming’s release. There, they’ll be prompted to make a wager using the coins in the bottom left corner of the

Once you’ve made your stake, it’s time to play. As its name hints, the game is played following Vegas rules. The dealer will draw two cards for the punter, and two for themselves. However, only one of the two cards will be visible! Here, you can choose to hit or stand. Hitting will draw another card while standing means you pass your turn.

The end goal of blackjack is to get as close to 21 without going over. Hitting exactly 21 is a blackjack, and awards a higher prize than a regular win. If neither you nor the dealer get 21, then the person closest to that number is the winner.

You’re able to bet any value between $1 and $200 on each round. Just beating the dealer grants the standard prize of 1:1. If the option presents itself, you can also play insurance. It requires an extra bet on top of your existing one but can award a 2:1 win. Last but not least is the blackjack payout! Getting exactly 21 nets you a 3:2 win in Microgaming’s release.

Both splitting and doubling is possible, but only under specific circumstances. Players can split two cards with the same value, but can only do so once! Also, if you split a pair of aces and get a ten afterwards, it has a value of 21 but is not blackjack.

Doubling can only be done with your first two cards. Even then, it’s restricted if you have a hard hand with a value of 9, 10 or 11. A hard hand means your hand does not have an Ace, or that ace is only worth 1. You cannot double after a split.

Finally, if the dealer’s face-up card is an ace, you can take the Insurance bet. It costs half of your regular bet, and it only covers your original hand.
