When you first join the colourful jungle studio of Snakes & Ladders Live you will be greeted by numerous elements. Besides the live dealer host, you will see the dice towers, the Snake Totem and the Snakes & Ladders board in the background.

In the base game, you will focus on dice towers or tubes in the foreground. This is after all a dice-based game where there are 4 base dice and one special die used for the bonuses. However, the dice display special symbols instead of numbers. You can see the following symbols on the first four regular dice:

• Snakes & Ladders (SL) Symbol

You use the 4 regular dice to place bets on their outcome. Simply select your wager starting from $0.1 and choose one of the following bets: Stars, Diamonds, Stars + Diamonds, Bronze/Silver/Gold SL, or ST.

The Diamond and Stars bets are your basic ones. Choosing to bet on Stars or Diamonds for example will reward a payout if at least 2 of the dice land on the appropriate symbol. As you can see, there are numerous outcomes and even the bonus games have different RTPs based on the circumstances. For example, the Snakes & Ladders Bonus has three variants – bronze, silver, and gold – that have increasing volatilities and RTPs.

And now for the most exciting part which are the two bonus games. To access these extra features, you must place a wager on either the Snake Totem or Snakes & Ladders bet.

If you bet on the Snake Totem you will need to land at least 3 ST symbols on the dice. When this bonus triggers, you will be taken to the special Snake Totem to the right which consists of three levels. Each level has six titles associated with it with different multiplier rewards.

The levels will all spin and the way they land determines prizes. You will then use a regular six-sided die to climb the totem. The higher you climb the higher the stackable multiplier becomes that you win in the end. You can also score additional rolls but the biggest reward is probably the free SL bonus game trigger.

Speaking of the Snakes & Ladders bonus, this is the main attraction. You need to place a wager on it and you activate it by landing at least 2 SL symbols on the dice. If this happens the special fifth die is used to determine which type of bonus the game plays out. Additional SL symbols beyond 2 grant Power-ups in the bonus game.

The Snakes & Ladders bonus functions similarly to the board game with an 8×8 board. You will use a six-sided die to climb the board with 2, 3, or 5 rolls depending on if you triggered the Bronze, Silver, or Gold variant respectively. The same as in the board game, if you land on a snake you will descend to its tail and landing on a ladder allows you to climb it.

The board is filled with various multiplier prizes and they get better the higher you go. You can also land on Power-Ups that boost multipliers or Safe Tiles that save your current multiplier progress.
