Ramen is such a unique dish that it’s almost legendary. It’s an Asian dish, popular in China, Japan, and Korea, but in the gaming world, ramen belongs to everyone. We’re big fans of ramen, and we love food themed slots. Oodles of Noodles check both boxes, so it was supposed to be our favorite review of the month. And it came pretty close.

Truth be told, Oodles of Noodles is nothing special. It’s a cute slot with 5 reels, 3 rows, 10 paylines, high variance, and 96.58% RTP.

Hence, it’s a cool game to play, but it’s not anything to write home about. Still, we gave it a chance, and we’re quite happy that we did so, as the game did entertain us a lot during our time at the conveyor belt.

The premise of Oodles of Noodles is a ramen restaurant with a conveyor belt full of delicious dishes, and the panda sitting at the table beside the grid. In the base game, players spin the grid in the hope of landing a matching combo on the grid with 3-5 icons, which triggers wins. If you happen to match 3 Scatters (or more) you get into Free Spins. Panda works in the Free Spins, so in the base game, it’s just sitting there.

The bar below the grid contains settings for gameplay, so make sure you’ve adjusted everything before you start playing. Bets go from $0.10 to $250. Lastly, if you want to speed up the process, press and hold Space button on your keyboard to turn on super speedy spins.

In the game, you face a 5×3 grid with 10 paylines, and the ingredients and card royals act as high and low-rank icons.  J, Q, K, and A pay from 0.50x to 10x for combos that have from 3 to 5 icons, respectively.  Then you have tasty ingredients such as mushrooms, lettuce, eggs, avocado, something pink, and chillis that pay from 10x to 200x for 5 matching icons.

The game has a Scatter but it’s not a paying icon. There’s no Wild.

Free Spins

Free Spins is the main game feature in Oodles of Noodles. It starts with Scatters – 3, 4, or 5 Scatters unlock  10, 15, or 20 Spins, respectively. But don’t worry, even if you manage to land only 2, there’s still a chance the remaining Scatters get randomly added to the grid.

Now, during Free Spins, ramen bowls sit below each reel containing either Spins or random Cash prizes. In each bow, there can be a prize worth between 2x and 2000x, while Spins can range from 1 to 15.

Pandas are the main symbol as they appear and bestow rewards to the players. In other words, when a Panda appears, you get the prizes from the bowl. Pandas land only in Free Spins, though. Also, whenever a Panda lands on the grid, the awarded money prizes multiply by the number of cells on the grid.

Buy Feature
