At the start of any spin, the Necromancer may summon 1 to 16 cursed skulls onto reels 1, 2, 4, and 5 (so all except the central one). If you see a Ghoul Activator landing on the middle reel, all skulls open to reveal matching pay symbols or the Necromancer’s Coin Toss.

The scatter pays system evaluates wins based on total matching symbols. Ghoul Activators carry multipliers up to x10 applied to the round’s total win. Landing a scatter during this feature awards 8, 10, or 12 Chaos Spins upon completion.

Chaos Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters in base game triggers 8, 10, or 12 Chaos Spins respectively. On any non-winning base spin that doesn’t trigger Chaos Spins, the Necromancer may use his staff to force 3 to 5 scatters onto the reels.

During Chaos Spins, the grid expands to 7×5 with scatter pays mechanics. The 26 outer positions land blanks or Mystery Skulls, while the central 3×3 block lands blanks or up to 3 Ghoul Activators. Mystery Skulls stick for the round’s duration.

When Ghoul Activators land, all Mystery Skulls activate and reveal matching pay symbols or the Necromancer’s Coin Toss. Multiple Ghoul Activators multiply their values together. Necromancer’s Coin Toss

This bonus game triggers when Mystery Skulls reveal the Coin Toss symbol. Each position reveals one of five elements:

Our Experience Playing Necromancer’s Gate

The suspense during Chaos Spins proved to be genuinely engaging. We first watched Mystery Skulls land and stick, then waited for Ghoul Activator appearances and their multiplier values, and finally the reveal moment of the actual payout. This process and structure creates tension that many slots lack.

The game may have high volatility, but we managed to see all game features at least once during our session. The game is fun and interesting, the theme darker than we are used to (but still enjoyed it) and the overall result is solid. We expected the game to be fully closed and deliver long spins with no tangible profits, but it was not like that. All in all, a very satisfying session.
