We’re always happy to see new developers try their hand in a market that’s usually dominated by one or two software providers. We really have to hand it to Pragmatic Play. Despite being a relative newcomer, they managed to create an amazing roulette table, complete with a beautiful and easy to use UI.

Of course, behind all the fancy camerawork is just another European roulette table. No extra mechanics like multipliers here, we’re sad to say! The wheel has thirty-seven numbers on it. A single green zero, and thirty-six standard numbers, split into red and black colours.

You can set your total bet by using the table in front of you, or the racetrack off to the side. We’re particularly pleased with the way the developers handled the racetrack. Using the plus and minus keys, you can choose the number of neighbours, allowing you to fine-tune your stake. Alternatively, click one of the buttons to the side to make a special bet from the menu.

Still, the good times don’t end there. Each bet is given a slight preview on the field. This allows punters to see just what that particular bet will mean for them. The winning number will also be highlighted on the main board after a win occurs. Using another button off to the side, we can swap to a stats page. This allows us to look at hot and cold numbers and charts.

Pragmatic Play’s Live Roulette can be played anywhere from $0.50 up to $2000 in a single round. This is an amazing betting spread, which suits both casual players and high rollers.

With standard European roulette, rules come standard payouts. Outside bets reward less when won, but are more likely to appear. Red/Black, Even/Odd and 1-18/19-36 all grant a 1:1 cash prize. Meanwhile, winning a column or a dozen bet earns you a 2:1 score.

Inside bets are where things get interesting! They’re less likely to win but pay more as a result. Line bets are worth 5:1, while corner wins earn 8:1 if won. Winning a street bet with only three numbers scores an 11:1 prize. Splits win a 17:1 cash prize if won. And best of all are Straight bets, which earn 35:1 – if you can correctly guess the number that will be drawn.

Between special bets you can make through the racetrack and the ones via the menu, you won’t be running out of exciting things to do anytime soon! These wagers stand out since they target a specific section of the wheel, rather than set numbers or colours.
