The game is streamed from the developers’ Riga studio and is played in glorious HD. The black and gold elements of previous Lightning games are combined with the red colour we have seen in previous Evolution baccarat entries. Put it all together, and you have a fantastic looking game.

Before you can start playing, you need to place your bets. Pick your coin value and place it on one of the three main bets: banker, player or tie. Thanks to Evolution Gaming’s awesome user interface, you can keep track of what your fellow punters are betting on. All bets are subject to a 20% lightning fee, which funds this release’s iconic multipliers.

After betting is complete, the dealer will draw two cards for both hands. Player cards are dealt first, followed by the banker. Which side wins is determined by how close they get to eight or nine. Going above nine will reset the value of the hand to zero.

Depending on the drawn cards, it may be necessary to draw a third card. If the player has a five or less, then the dealer will draw a third card for them. Meanwhile, the banker’s third card depends on two factors: their own card hand value, and the player’s third card. Previous wins can be tracked in the bottom right corner of the screen.

There are three main bets that you can play in Evolution Gaming’s Lightning Baccarat. Players can stake their bets that either player or banker hands will win, or that a tie will be drawn.

Banker hands are more likely to win due to the card drawing rules. As a result, a 5% commission is applied on all payouts of banker wins. Player wins pay even money, while tie scores you an 8:1 payout.

Only two side bets are available in this game, called P Pair and B pair. You can wager on these two extra bets by placing coins in their respective fields. To win P Pair, you need the first two cards in the player’s hand to form a pair. B Pair works the same way but applies for banker hands.

Multipliers are not awarded to each hand but instead are applied to randomly select cards. The chosen cards change every round. Up to five cards can be multiplied at once and can multiply each other to further boost your winnings. If a card is part of the player or banker hand, it will increase the payout for that hand.
