When Microgaming released Immortal Romance back in 2011, it became an instant classic for casinos around the world. It’s still to this day the gold standard for vampire-themed slots, to be honest.

The core gameplay remains largely untouched, keeping the same 5×3 setup with 243 ways to win. What’s new is the addition of the life-changing Mega Moolah progressive jackpot, which has created more millionaires than any other slot. Playing Immortal Romance Mega Moolah is simple if you’re familiar with the original slot.

First, select the stake. Stakes range from $0.30 to $6, and higher wagers slightly improve the odds of triggering the jackpot wheel. The range is lower than usual, but it’s better to play with smaller stakes than lose more money by setting bigger bets per spin.

Once you have a ready bet amount, spin the reels. Wins are formed by landing 3+ matching symbols from left to right across adjacent reels, with 243 ways to win.

On the grid, you will see an array of familiar icons, including the game logo. This is the game’s Wild, substituting for other symbols and doubling payouts when part of a winning combo.

Theme, Visuals & Sound

The slot retains its brooding, gothic atmosphere from the OG slot with candlelit castles, mysterious books, and vampire protagonists straight out of a dark fantasy novel. Much of the visuals are kept in the game.

The soundtrack adds to the tension, with an eerie piano and cinematic tones setting the stage. The only noticeable break in immersion is the colorful Mega Moolah jackpot panel, which feels a bit out of place against the vampiric visuals, but also serves as a constant reminder of what’s at stake. if you are a fan of the original, you won’t notice a single change when you enter this game – except for the presence of jackpots, of course.

Our Experience Playing Immortal Romance Mega Moolah

In testing, the slot proved just as engaging as the original Immortal Romance.  It’s not what we expected to be fair. The game is another vampire slot version, so were not very hopeful it would be a hit. Still, it managed to surprise us.

The Wild Desire feature delivered some tense near-full wild reels, while the Chamber of Spins modes offered enough variety to keep sessions exciting. RTP at 93.4% is lower than standard slots have, but we expected it due to the progressive jackpots. Despite this, the balance of strong base features and the life-changing potential of Mega Moolah kept the experience thrilling.

Our biggest win came from Michael’s Rolling Reels mode, chaining multipliers up to x5 for a significant payout. We didn’t trigger the jackpot wheel during our session, but its mere presence adds a layer of excitement to every spin.
