Blaze Trail 1000

It’s a Hold & Spin bonus game. Consequently, it’s the only special game feature that you have at your disposal.

Landing 3 or more El Capy symbols anywhere on the screen initiates the bonus round. When triggered, all regular symbols are removed from the reels, leaving only the El Capy symbols that triggered the feature. The game then awards Respins.

The mechanic operates on hold ‘n’ win principles: El Capy symbols that land stick in place. Each new El Capy symbol that appears awards an additional Respin and increases the collection meter by +1. Respins continue as long as new El Capy symbols keep landing. When a Respin occurs without any new El Capy symbols appearing, the feature concludes.

The final payout is determined by the total number of El Capy symbols collected, referenced against a fixed paytable. Collecting 3 symbols (the minimum) pays 5x, while collecting all 15 possible positions pays the maximum 1,000x (before multipliers).

Feature Buy with Multiplier

Paying 50x the bet grants instant access to the El Capy Blaze Trail 1000, triggered by 3+ El Capy symbols. The crucial difference versus organic triggers is the random multiplier use.

Namely, before the game begins, a multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 5x is randomly chosen. This multiplier applies to all payouts on the collection meter, dramatically boosting potential. A 15-symbol collection paying 1,000x base becomes 2,000x (x2 multiplier), 3,000x (x3 multiplier), or 5,000x (x5 multiplier).

Extra Bet Option

Extra Bet doubles the stake ($0.20 becomes $0.40, $100 becomes $200) and guarantees at least one El Capy symbol lands on every spin. With this, you are more likely to see 3+ El Capy symbol appear, boosting bonus trigger rates.

El Capy offers four RTP alternatives. The default one, which is also the highest one, sits at 96.15% RTP, which is around industry standard but not exceptionally generous. Other variants include 94.10%, 92.07%, and 84.21%, with small tweaks in volatility and payout possibilities and odds.

Our Experience Playing El Capy

To be honest, we did not have high expectations for El Capy. A cute animal-themed slot with low-medium volatility and 1000x wins is not something that inspires us to think about adventure and high payouts. Still, it’s exactly what it says it is – a cheerful slot that’s focused on easy-going fun instead of complex features and elaborate gameplay.

The only thing to look forward in gameplay is the one special booster, which is the Hold & Spin round called Trail Blaze 1000. Why the name, we aren’t sure, but it is indeed a Hold and Win round with Multipliers.

The thing that we disliked is the clear difference between Feature Buy-friendly and unfriendly markets. Namely, the fact that the payout is 1000x if you don’t have Feature Buy is OK – until you realize that with Feature Buy, it’s 5000x. It’s such a discrepancy that is not very fair.

Everything else is classic and just like you’d expect from a game of this caliber.
