Dice City is a rebrand of Boom City, one of the most popular Pragmatic Play live dealer games.

In Dice City, we have a giant 6×6 dice board with 6 types of bet spots you can wager on. There are three prize spots, rewarding you with a 1x, 2x, or 5x prizes, and spots leading to three bonus rounds.

To play, you essentially pick a stake first. The range is from $0.10 to $3,800 per round. You can place the stake on any of the six bet spots. The betting phase lasts 25 seconds. Once that runs out, the game will start.

The host will announce a roll of two dice. The number that is the outcome of their roll is the number of the cell on the board that is the winning one. Depending on what is on that position, the players will either win a prize or enter a bonus round.

Some spots may contain bonus symbols. If you’ve bet on one and it’s hit, it will trigger one of the three bonus games.

Also, boosters may randomly appear on spots before the dice roll, multiplying potential wins by up to 10x.

Once the outcome is shown, the winners will receive a payout, or they will proceed to the won bonus round. Once that is finished too, the round ends, and a new one begins.

The bets in Dice City start at $0.10 and go up to $3,800, which is the maximum bet. That is a bit different – better yet, lower – than the original Boom City betting range. The game has different RTP rates for all betting spots.

In Boom City, there was also the Power up and Bust symbol, which is missing from Dice City. It’s clear that the game is a sleeker game with simplified bets and features, but we honestly do not mind that.

Dice Battle

Two prizes are revealed at the start of the bonus round. Players who won entrance to the round can choose a die, and both dice are rolled. The higher die awards the bigger prize – which can be up to 1,000x – while the losing die delivers a smaller prize.

Lucky Drop

In this feature, played on a five-tier prize ladder, players select a number they think will appear most often. Correctly guessing a match will propel them up the ladder, unlocking wins up to 5,000x. it’s a bit more potent than Dice Battle.

Boom or Bust

The feature with the biggest win potential. Players choose red or blue dice and advance across a 6×7 board with multipliers and level-ups. Each roll determines how far you go, with the highest tier offering a 10,000x win.

Random Boosters

Random Boosters are actually Multipliers that randomly appear in the base game and can multiply all values on the board up to 10x.

We have to say, Dice City doesn’t push cinematic storytelling, but its visuals are fun and functional. The 6×6 board layout is clean and easy to follow, with color-coded fields and animated dice rolls creating a sense of anticipation. The UI is sharp, and the audio adds the right touch of casino atmosphere without being overwhelming.

Bright lighting, smooth transitions, and a clean color scheme help the game maintain an energetic and professional look. Again, it’s mostly not new, but it’s still fun and fresh like the 2021 release.
