Blackjack has been more or less the same game since it first appeared on casino floors. Variants have made adjustments and changes, but the core mechanics remained the same. Cashback Blackjack does not try to reinvent the wheel. However, the special feature it introduces certainly has the potential to change blackjack forever!

This is a single player title, so all results are determined using a random number generator. There are five positions on the table, allowing you to play multiple hands at once. There are no timers either, so take your time in adjusting your wagers! Thanks to Playtech’s user interface, everything is smooth and easy to control.

Once you start the game, you need to decide how many hands you want to play. Choose a coin value that suits your budget, and then place it in the main bet and side bet fields you want to play. After setting them up once, buttons will allow you to quickly re-bet the same combination!

After all bets are sorted and you press Deal, the computer will draw two cards for every active position. You will be asked to hit, stand or double that particular hand. Splits are only available if you have a pair. Exclusive to this version is the Cashback version. You can choose to stop playing that hand, and just accept the money offer the release gives you.

With all active hands played, the dealer will reveal his second card. Your results are compared, and the side closer to 21 wins the round. Going over 21 results in a bust, meaning that side loses automatically. The dealer will stop drawing once he reaches 17.

In blackjack, your wins are rather fixed. Standard prizes include a 1:1 payout, with only two exceptions. Insurance bets pay 2:1, while a natural blackjack win pays 3:2. To score the blackjack win, you need to draw exactly twenty-one with your first two cards. For bigger wins, you will need to the available side bets.

How much you can bet with each round depends on your table limits. We have seen quite a diverse betting range for Playtech’s Cashback Blackjack while playing it for this review. The smallest possible bet was $0.01, while the biggest was a whopping $10,000!

Pair Pays is a bet that rewards you when a pair of cards is drawn. It usually pays 6:1, but increases to 12:1 for matching colours and 25:1 for matching colours and suits!

21+3 forms a three-card poker hand with your first two cards and the dealer’s face up card. It pays depending on the strength of the hand, with 100:1 for a suited three-of-a-kind being the top prize.
