A few years ago, casino software provider Endorphina started re-releasing some of its games with the Dice monicker. Examples include Joker Ra Dice, Cyber Wolf Dice, and Chance Machine Dice. Basically, they take an older game, visually change its symbols to look like dice, and call it a day. But now you must be thinking – but what does this change actually do? What new features do the dice bring to the table? What are the big changes that earned these classic games a whole re-release?

The answer? Absolutely nothing. They just look like dice.

So in 2024, Endprohina did the same thing to a game simply called Blue Slot. The original game had a fairly basic premise, too. It was designed as a classic fruit machine with the added benefit of 6 reels and some nifty features such as the Gamble feature. Barely a year later, they’re giving it another go as Blue Slot Dice. In other words – they took a very stripped-down game and added nothing to it.

Visually, the game doesn’t do much more than simple callbacks to old-school slot machines. It doesn’t really have a theme either, but it looks well enough with a functional UI. It also runs quite smoothly. The same can be said for pretty much any Endorphina slot, though, so let’s jump into the actual gameplay.

Blue Slot Dice is played on a wide game board with 6 reels and 4 rows, which translates to 24 positions in total. 6 reels is a bit higher than average, which means that the math model favors longer lines of winning symbols if you want to get a high payout.

Speaking oh which, there are 40 fixed paylines in this game. To win, you have to match 3 or more symbols of the same kind along one of these paylines. All winning lines are counted from left to right, starting at the leftmost reel. The high number of paylines ensures that you’ll generally win whenever you have matching symbols on the first three reels, and the real differences between them are only really noticeable on the right side of the screen. In practice, this means hitting short lines is easier than hitting longer ones, which is to be expected.

Also, most newer Endorphina slots allow you to Gamble to increase any payout. Basically, any time you win anything, you can click the card button at the lower left corner to try double it. You can do so multiple times on the same win, or you can choose to cash out.

The Gamble feature is played through a simple mini-game. It presents you with a single face-up card and four face-down cards. Your job is to just pick one of the face-down cards. If it’s higher than the leftmost card, you win and double your winnings for that round. If not, you lose it all. Generally, we only recommend gambling if the face-up card is showing 5 or less.

Blue Slot Dice calculates payouts on a coin-per-payline basis, which is pretty cool. That said, you can’t change the number of bet ways anyway, so that just means that the stake has to be divisible by 40. This limits your betting options to a point, but it’s not overly releant.

There are 8 base symbols in the game, all shaped as dice. The more pips the dice shows, the stronger the symbol, which makes tings a bit easier. That said, the two highest-paying dice instead show a lightning bolt and the number 7.

Low-paying symbols are marked with 1-4 pips. They pay 0.1x, 0.3x, 1x, and 4x for 3, 4, 5, or 6 symbols on a line. 5 or 6 pips and the Lightning Bolt will net you 0.2x-10x or 0.3x-20x, respectively. Lucky 7s are the strongest base symbol with rewards up to 60x.

The game’s RTP clocks in at 96.04%, which is just slightly above average.

Blue Slot Dice boasts barely any special features beyond what we see in almost every new slot game.

First of all, there’s the Wilds. These can substitute any other symbol in the game except the Scatters. Wilds only appear on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5, so you can’t make a line of only Wilds. Also, the Wilds are Expanding. Whenever one hits, it spreads to cover its entire reel, vastly increasing the chances it will end up as part of a winning line.

Also, there are two types of Scatter symbols. These can win anywhere with no regard to their position or paylines. They’re also technically the highest-paying symbols in the game.

• Mask Scatters only appear on reels 2, 3, 4, or 5. Hitting 3 or 4 of these nets you 10x or 200x, respectively.
• Star Scatters can appear on any reel. Hitting 3, 4, 5, or 6 of them pays 2x, 20x, 250x, or 500x, respectively.
