London-listed bookmaker and one of the biggest names in the gambling industry William Hill joined forces with Caesars Entertainment to bring back pari-mutuel simulcast wagering features to the Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino in Iowa.
The venue ceased offering pari-mutuel wagering back in 2015 when Bluffs Run racing track was closed.
“William Hill has an excellent reputation and we are excited to welcome them to Iowa and partner to bring a new amenity that will bring even more energy to the Horseshoe Casino floor”, the vice president and general manager of Horseshoe Council Bluffs Bo Guidry said.
The race book is set to open in time for the 2017 Kentucky Derby meeting, which will take place from 5-6 May, until when all regulatory approvals and constructions should be completed.
The arrangement between William Hill and Caesars will be overseen by the Unite States division of the English bookmaker, punters and players at the casino will also be granted access to William Hill Race Book where they will be able to wager on major US thoroughbred, harness and greyhound races.
“We are excited to expand into Iowa and proud to partner with Caesars Entertainment to bring back pari-mutuel simulcast wagering to the Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino. We look forward to creating a first-class experience for all racing fans in the Greater Omaha area to enjoy”, Chief executive of William Hill US Joe Asher commented.
The race book will be located adjacent to the main casino floor of the Iowa facility and will include top-notch sports bar and a video wall.
