A Transitional Change
The interim appointment is also in response to the pandemic, which impacted the company’s ability to appoint a permanent chairman.
Milne provided her commentary. “The impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic has led us to temporarily pause the final stages of our recruitment process.” Happy to act as interim chairman, Milne looks to provide the necessary continuity ahead of the process.
The new interim chairperson at Playtech also went on to thank Alan Jackson for his service. Milne praised his enthusiasm and dedication to the business as a non-executive director since our IPO in 2006. Finally, she concluded by emphasizing his role as chairman in the past seven years.
The process to appoint a permanent chairman will conclude once the business and market environment go back to normal.
