Las Vegas Strip will soon get its first resort delivering an authentic Asian cultural experience with the Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino due to be opened later in 2016.
It will become the first ground up casino development in Las Vegas for the last six years as this community gathering for international and Asian visitors is nearing its completion after a bump on the road earlier in 2015.
Progress on the Asian-themed casino had stalled last year when the city declined to give it tax increment financing, allowing it to use additional property tax revenues that it would generate.
The resort however managed to gather the necessary funds in 2016 and the progress is now back on track for the full opening in late 2016.
Specifically targeted at the Asian market, the Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino will feature a collection of restaurants which will be one of the Lucky Dragon’s key elements with the Jewel Kitchen as the only show kitchen in the city that extends directly onto the casino floor.
A night market to emulate the vibrant street food markets of Asian, a dim sum restaurant with live exotic seafood flown in daily and a new fine dining restaurant boasting a menu of rare Chinese and Asian delicacies will be also be on offer with this unique Hotel & Casino resort.
An authentic Asian cultural experience will also be achieved with the city’s only Tea Garden.
The indoor-outdoor garden and lounge area will feature a waterfall, trees and a custom-built Gongfu tables that allow customers to experience a traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
The Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino will also feature a casino with an emphasis on table games, but also a 4,500 square foot spa and a hotel with 204 total hotel rooms and suits.
